muffling the sound
of dragging feet
the whining
of tired elevators
a harsh bulb
waiting
and watching

In the early 1990's I worked in Russia a lot - I cannot accept any critisicm of Russians as a people. I did stay in a Soviet style apartment and travelled out to the dacha weekends. The doors were as they were and are real.
