Poets of Ireland

I ask you to write / speak

in support of Palestine 
in face of the cowardice of the 
spineless gutless Vichy Irish 
government currently in power.

Kavanagh boasted that Ireland had 
a standing army of 10,000 poets 
- now is the time for that army 
to rise up in poetic defence
and attack the institutional 
cowardice and complacency 
that allows such wholesale 
slaughter in Palestine.
