Chukotka
Dreams - for Irina
in Chukotka
I dreamed of stars
so bright so many so silent
silence so complete
only the boot crunch of snow
loud in a lonely void filled with silence
deserted by our friends the trees
nothing to hope for
but the aurora dance
or the sun’s hello
light fractured in millions of ice crystals
the breasts of snow rising and falling
in the far distance
simple sub-zero beauty
no buzz of flies or babble of voices
no city smells or churches bells
nothing but nothingness
refracting moon or sun
in an endless purity of colour
colours that shine in my mind
these many years
Chukotka the land of dreams
to dream of light and sun filled bright
to dream of laughter and running water
to dream of sex on sand
and bubbles of pleasure
carried by the foaming waves
where we lay joined in life
though only in the dream
here the cold cold day and night
renders passion in microsex
the quick coupling more for warmth than pleasure
the frozen semen tinkling to the floor
brushed up and discarded in the waste bin
Chukotka you are childless
since nothing needs grow in your beauty
nothing but the hope of day
and the laughter of light
and the sometimes casual warmth of human contact
flesh to flesh in simple abandonment
